About me

The creative arts have been a constant throughout my life. After completing a Bachelor of Art Education I went on to teach Visual Arts from year six to twelve as the head teacher in a small independent school in my twenties. Once having children, I developed creative home businesses; bespoke cake toppers, photography, art lessons and pet portraits. In 2018 I completed a Graduate Diploma of Art Therapy, receiving a Dean's Merit Award as one of the top ten percentile. Additonally receiving full marks for my final art work Body Of Art. Other Significant achievements have been an invitation to make a site-specific work at Woodford Academy 2017 and inclusion in Blue Mountains Portraits 2018. In 2020 I was one of 20 finalists in the M1 drawing prize. In early 2021 my solo exhibition Dogs of Springwood at Braemar Gallery was also an ideal opportunity to launch my Children’s Book I Like Dogs. Since 2021 I have resumed my ceramic practice and currently stock a range of Misty Mountain porcelain homewares and jewellery through the Visitor Information Centres in the Blue Mountains. I have regularly entered the Collectors Edition at the Blue Mountains City Art gallery for the last 5 years. This year, my porcelain work Mother’s Heart was one of the top 4 works sold by auction on the final night of the exhibition. Most recently my entry Topsy Turvey in the Blue Fringe Art exhibition received three awards; Sculpture Prize, Packer’s Prize and People’s Choice Award.
